Washington Cemetery Historic Trust (WCHT) helps the people of today learn about the people of the past, through the following activities benefiting Washington Cemetery, located in Houston, Texas:
- Researching and documenting the history of the cemetery and the people buried here.
- Creating and maintaining a burial database.
- Facilitating restoration of grave markers, monuments, and lot enclosures.
- Locating, marking, and recording unmarked graves.
- Hosting historical events in the cemetery.
- Issuing periodic newsletters documenting the findings and work of WCHT.
- Raising funds as necessary to support the above activities.
